French Vocabulary

August 18th, 2009 barneymc No comments

One of the best ways of improving your French (or any language for that matter) is to read papers.  All the major French newspapers (le Monde, Libération etc) devote a lot of time and effort into their websites and they are a real pleasure to scan through and pick out an article. Libé (the French have a tendency to shorten everything….) is probably the most accessible in terms of language and mixes professional journalistic French with the language of the street. This means that you get a more colourful range of vocabulary and it really becomes a living langauge.

Check out this link for some easy reading on Sarkozy and see how you get on.
