Since I’ve started using it I can’t believe how easy it is to learn verbs, vocabulary and much more! Stay tuned and I will be bringing you some more goodies for the iPhone.
I often here the claim…”I knew it yesterday…!” as if that should convince the examiner that really the student actually knows (well knew) their stuff. Unfortunately the day of the exam they just couldn’t summon up those drops from the well of knowledge…..
Either you know it or you don’t. This is the beauty of the cruel exam system – the bluffing days are over.
Log into the Virtual Classroom today (username and password is ‘frenchgrinds’) and see how much you know. I’ve opened limited access to a short quiz (5 questions) on the dreaded Passé Composé. It’s all anonymous so there’s no Name&Shame going on. If you find you are scoring low then maybe you need some help. Just let me know if you have any feedback.
Starting next Wednesday 11th of November you can access online grinds for free. Simply register with WizIQ and they will send you a reminder email with a link to the class. You can click on this email next Wednesday at 8:00 PM and you will be brought into the online class. You will need a headset (headphones+microphone – so you can ask a question if you want) and also a webcam. Nothing else! The grind will last about 40 minutes and we will go through some of the topics that cause the most grief to students.

I’ve just added live chat to the website so that students can get help online when they need it. Currently there is no charge for this service as I am interested in looking at the different ways that students are getting into difficulties with French. I hope that I will be online most evenings (and most of the daytime also) and that I can respond quickly to your shouts for help. As far as I know this is the only live chat website dedicated to French so hopefully you will find this useful.
